Employee Spotlight: Jonathan Shaw

Rodem engineer Jonathan Shaw designs sanitary fluid processing and cleaning systems, working with customers to design systems to fit their needs.

 

In 2021, Jonathan joined Rodem as our very first intern. Although his internship was only supposed to be for the summer of 2021, Jonathan was such a great fit he continued working here as an intern until he graduated from Northern Kentucky University in May 2022. After his graduation, Jonathan was offered a full-time role in our engineering department where he still works today. 

What is your favorite part of your job?

Getting to work with major companies to design systems that will eventually lead to food products being on the shelves to sustain people.

What’s your best Rodem memory?

Hiring on with Rodem full-time in August 2022.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

I enjoy traveling to historic and scenic locations, and enjoy a bit of amateur photography as a hobby. I am interested in industrial and transportation history, and I collect a fair amount of reading material regarding such subjects.

If you had unlimited time to volunteer for any cause which would you chose and why?

I would love to volunteer at a history museum or historical society as I have a passion for history. I volunteered at a historical society museum in the area for about a year, and I enjoyed every day I volunteered there.
