Employee Spotlight: LeighAnn Diener Gunter

LeighAnn Gunter Employee Spot Light Rodem

Rodem has been a part of Marketing Manager LeighAnn’s life since day one. Her grandfather started Rodem in 1971, and her family still owns Rodem today. Other than the fun company picnics each year and the annual FISA conference which doubled as a family vacation she didn’t know much about the industry before starting with Rodem in 2008.

LeighAnn started with Rodem after graduating from college and made it a career thanks to the plentiful opportunities Rodem offered. Most of her time here has been spent in a sales support or marketing role,  LeighAnn did have a brief stint in safety and finance, but ultimately found her home as Rodem’s Marketing Manager!

What Do You Enjoy about Working at Rodem?

The best part of my job is the people I get to work with. I truly believe that the people in this industry are some of the best people I know. They are hard-working, fun, down-to-earth, and inspiring. I love brainstorming and working on initiatives to help evolve our 50+-year-old company.

What’s your best Rodem memory?

This is a tough one! I’ve had a lot of fun in my time here. I have lots of fun memories from sales meetings and Christmas parties early on, but most recently the big move to Harrison from the original Crookshank location sticks out. There’s not a particular moment, but the energy and excitement of 2023 and the move tops the chart for fond moments!

If you had unlimited time to volunteer for any cause which would you chose and why?

Hands down Cystic Fibrosis research. My nephew has CF so it’s not only near and dear, but the Cystic Fibrosis community has made incredible strides in treatment in recent years. So much so that the average life expectancy has increased by decades due to these developments.

What is a special skill or talent you have?

I’m the official interior design consultant for my friends and family. I love picking paint colors and  imagining, and creating spaces. I have a special knack for finding treasures at thrift and antique stores and incorporating them into rooms to make beautiful, inviting spaces.
